Brothers win contest to live out ‘bucket list’

Two San Diego brothers are making up an all-time “bucket list” after winning a contest from a travel company to visit 25 countries in 25 weeks.

MyDestination.com picked Alex and Mark Ayling from thousands of entries after the two made a road trip video while teaching English in Spain. They dubbed themselves the “Vagabrothers.”

The video and a subsequent test of fitness and resilience against a total of 10 other entrants — contests including walking on fire and making chocolate truffles — earned them $10,000 in expenses and $50,000 to travel the world.

So what is a bucket list?

As urbandictionary.com would describe it: “A list of things to do before you die. Comes from the term ‘kicked the bucket’”.

I could easily think of a few things that I would like to do before I die.

  1. Travel the world
  2. Skiing
  3. Sky diving
  4. Go on vacation to Switzerland
  5. Swimming with dolphins and sharks
  6. Play with a tamed tiger

Well those are just things off the top of my head. I’m sure I could easily think of more if I had the time about it.

If you want to see a very well thought out bucket list then please go to: Project Light to Life

“Project Light to Life” is the creation of a young and ambitious blogger named Christine. Her blog is dedicated to the bucket list that she has made for herself. In her blog she documents her journey as she fulfills her goals.

If you look at her contact page you can see that she wrote: “Have a similar bucket list goal and want to join me on my journey so we can cross it off our lists?” So if you guys have any things you want to do before you die, then who better to do it with then Christine. (If she agrees to do it with you 😛 )

So does anyone have a bucket list that they would like to share?
